Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie

I love smoothies - green, chocolate, berry, any way you serve it. If I am craving chocolate, one of my favorites is a chocolate peanut butter smoothie.

I normally use Sunwarrior Warrior Blend as my primary protein powder but I decided to try out the Choc-A-Lot Vega protein powder. Whole Foods is great (for a number of reasons) but one of the nice features is being able to purchase single serving protein packets. It is a great way to try out new products or flavors without buying the whole tub!

The thing I like about Sunwarrior and Vega is that they are both plant-based. They are both free from dairy, soy or any extra sugar! They are also gluten free for those with sensitivities to gluten.

Below is my chocolate peanut butter smoothie recipe!


Ingredients:
1 (26g) Vega choc-a-lot flavor protein smoothie packet*
1 cup ice
1 cup almond milk/milk
2 Tbsps peanut butter
1 banana

Directions:
- Combine all ingredients and blend until desired consistency.

*If you use a natural (or vanilla) favored protein powder, add 1 Tbsp cacao powder to substitute the protein flavoring to get that smooth chocolate flavor.
