Hello again! | She's Wanderlust: Hello again!

Hello again!

October 4, 2014

So mid-summer I kind of started to neglect my new endeavor in the blog world... ok, I totally neglected it. But I was having fun and living life... that's important right? It all started when my husband wrote his licensing exam and I finished a contract position I was at. It will probably be the only time when we can both truly enjoy summer together; no studying, jobs to go to, commitments - just being together, at the cottage, out with friends, spending time with family. It wasn't really planned... it just kind of happened. But looking back, it will go down as one of the best summers. It was stressful at times as my hubby was writing a paper for school (so I kind of take back the no studying part) and then we were patiently awaiting his placement schedule. But we tried to just enjoy the time we had together.

Then September was here and we celebrated the marriage of two great friends of ours and headed off on our long overdue honeymoon to Thailand! It was amazing. We got to experience the hectic city of Bangkok, headed north for some adventure in Chiang Mai and then spent some time relaxing on the islands of Ko Samui and Koh Phi Phi. (I will post more about our trip in the near future, promise!) While we were away we were notified that my husband would be starting his Internal Medicine placement in Baltimore, two days after we got home. We thought with the time difference and packing up and moving to the States, we should give ourselves a few extra days. We changed our flights and headed home a bit early, which both of us were perfectly happy to do. We had seen and done everything we wanted to and didn't need to sit on the beach drinking Pina Colada's for 3 more days. More of a reason to schedule another vacation to catch up on the missed rays!

So here we are... temporary residence of Baltimore, Maryland! We have been here for just under a week and the city is already growing on me. It definitely has a lot of culture. We are right downtown so we are a short walk to the Harbor and a few of the cute neighborhoods (I am American after all) around. We already have some visitors planned and I can't wait to explore the city more!

I will post an update soon!
